Meaning postponed until 2021

We’ve made the tough decision we knew we might have to make. The next Meaning has been postponed until Thursday 11 November 2021.
The Brighton Dome, our wonderful venue, is unable to host any large scale events for the rest of this year.
We could continue to wait and see how the pandemic unfolds, but as a tiny team running a big event, we don’t have the resources to arrange and rearrange things at that kind of pace.
Most definitely. We’ve considered hybrid versions too and we believe there are plenty of good examples, and tools, to make this work, but… for us, Meaning and Meaning Fringe are so much about gathering together, in Brighton, the town we call home.
We are likely to organise some smaller online events over the next year. (We’re working on a few ideas so watch this space!)
Thank you to all those who booked in advance for Meaning 2020, we’ll be in touch with ticket holders very soon to offer and arrange refunds.
We’re upset that Meaning 2020 won’t happen, but we know the conversations and relationships that make Meaning so special will live on until we next meet.
