Body Alchemy & Systemic Constellations: Working with your Whole Self

This one day introductory workshop fuses approaches developed from 50+ years shared professional experience in cross art form performance practice & research, work in professional organisations, community education & group work. Experience practical approaches that will help deepen your capacity for effective collaboration, dialogue and creative expression.

What resources us to be authoritative, compelling and sensitive to colleagues, clients & stakeholders?

From Neutral Mask work the session will explore:

  • centring and neutrality in the body
  • the importance of focus and sensation
  • balancing effort and non-effort
  • using the senses and subtle energies to achieve compelling presence

From Systemic Constellations work the session will explore:

  • practical modelling of human systems
  • the concept of resources
  • attuning to embodied experience

This workshop focuses on process, emphasising movement towards resolution of blocks or entanglements and appreciation of alliances and resources, in support of alignment and flow in our energetic, physical and expressive selves.

Rikki Tarascas is a Brighton-based Producer-Director, Fine Artist, Teacher / Facilitator and Performer of Mexican-British heritage. He was formerly Director of Performance at The Eden Project and Resident Director for Welfare State International. His theatre teaching includes: Italia Conti Theatre School, Brunel University, Mountview Theatre School and Manchester Metropolitan School of Theatre. Rikki is also a qualified Yoga teacher and Shiatsu practitioner.

Stuart Taylor is a London-based Artist, Writer-Performer, Systemic Constellations Consultant and Aikido Sensei of Black British heritage. Previously, he was Director of Luminos Performance an experimental site-specific arts company. His teaching experience includes: Central St Martins, Dartington College of Arts and 18th Street Arts Complex (Santa Monica CA). Stuart has also worked extensively as an organisational and innovation consultant across the corporate, philanthropic, social enterprise and campaigning sectors.
