Explore meaning from the saddle

4pm - 9pm

Silo, Upper Gardner St, Brighton

Enjoy a bike tour and sustainable dinner, hosted by Fugu

Brighton is ripe with purpose-driven, progressive and ethical businesses. But who are they and where are they? Fugu has created this Meaning Fringe event to help you find the businesses doing things differently, with a bike tour of Brighton’s iconic landmarks.

This two-part event kicks off with a bike tour of Brighton’s top spots and purposeful businesses. Using the city’s bike share scheme, you’ll be taken on a classic tour of Brighton, with a special ‘meaningful’ twist, visiting and finding out more about Brighton’s purpose-driven business pioneers.

The gentle tour (minimal hills, we promise!) will last approximately two hours, ending where we started – at Silo – the UK’s first zero-waste restaurant. You can expect to enjoy a locally sourced welcome drink on arrival, followed by a multi-course dinner made with sustainable and seasonal ingredients.

Silo’s founder (and one of the UK’s leading food innovators) Doug McMaster will deliver an intimate Meaning-style talk before joining the group, where conversations on purpose-driven, progressive business and ideas sparked from the tour can continue over dinner.

Please sign up to BTN BikeShare ahead of the event, selecting the ‘Easy Rider’ option (unless you wish to purchase an annual subscription). Please note the scheme’s usage fees of 3p per min, £3.60 for two hours. Use this promo code LIFEBIKES33824at registration to gain £1 credit.

If you would like help with signing up on the day, please allow extra time on arrival.

This Meaning Fringe event is independently organised and ticketed.
