Aditya has been an economics journalist for over 20 years, beginning his career by covering the Asian financial crisis from Singapore, and the dotcom boom from New York. He joined the BBC as an economics producer, contributing to the Ten O’Clock News and Newsnight.
In December 2017, Aditya won the British Journalism Award for Comment Journalist of the year. His work has also won a Social Policy Association honour, and the Harold Wincott award for Business Journalism. He was shortlisted for an Orwell prize for journalism in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
